  • Where are you located?
We are at the Gallatin Marina, 727 Marina Prvt Drive, Gallatin, TN on Old Hickory Lake. We have a lakeside shack with a private dock to launch your paddleboards or kayaks easily.
  • Do I have to make a reservation?
Reservations are highly recommended but we do take walk-ups. A reservation guarantees you a paddleboard or kayak and gives you a smooth experience so you feel more prepared.
  • Where do I park?
Parking is in the gravel lot at Awedaddy’s Restaurant or you can park near the front entrance of the marina. Golf cart shuttles are available on the weekends. Do not park in boat owner parking or you will be towed. **If you need to drop off equipment or people at our dock you may do so and then return to park in the designated parking lot.
  • What equipment do you provide?
We provide all rentals with a paddleboard or sit on top kayak, paddle, life vest, whistle, ankle leash, and lights if needed at night.
  • How do I make a reservation?
Visit our website tnsupandadventures.com and click the book now button, find the link on our social media pages, or call (629) 777-8109 for reservations and questions. We use the Fare Harbor booking system. *Arrive early and give yourself time to park and use the restroom. Rentals and classes begin promptly at designated times.
  • How do I book my private group?
We'd love to host your group and customize your event around team building, relaxation, and fun! Please email us at INFO@TNSUPANDADVENTURES.COM or call us at 629.777.8109 and we'd be glad to set up a reservation for you.
  • Are there restrooms available?
You can find restrooms, changing rooms, and showers at the Marina front office entrance at the blue building. There are also restrooms at the back of Awedaddy’s Restaurant, and also at the end of the dock at the Marina store by the gas pumps.
  • What if I have my own paddleboard?
Choose the BYOB option at checkout when you sign up for a class for a reduced rate.
  • Do I need to know how to paddle before renting or taking a class?
We highly recommend our Intro to paddle classes, however, we always give thorough instructions and answer any questions before putting you out on the water.
  • What should I wear?
Swim suits and board shorts are a great choice but anything that allows for comfort and the elements will work. Plan to get wet and dress accordingly. We recommend paddling barefoot, but flip flops or water shoes are easy to get to and from the water. Wear your sunscreen. Dry bags are also available for purchase.
  • What if I fall in?
That’s the fun of it. Get out there. It's ok to be a beginner. We all fall sometimes.. There are changing rooms and showers at the marina if you prefer to bring a change of clothes.
  • What is the cancellation policy?
Weather can be unpredictable. You cannot be on the water if there is lightning within 9 miles, thunder, or winds over 10 mph. We will do our best to ensure your safety and notify you 1 hour in advance if we have to cancel or delay rentals or classes due to inclement weather. In the event of a weather cancellation, a future credit will be issued and can be used anytime in the current season. No shows or cancellations without a 24 hour notice will not be issued a credit. No refunds. All weather related cancellations are at the discretion of TN SUP and Adventures.
  • How do I reschedule or cancel my reservation?
If you need to reschedule your reservation for any reason, you may do so with at least a 24 hour notice by calling us at (629) 777-8109. Cancellations due to weather are at the discretion of TN SUP and Adventures and will result in a credit for any future reservation of equal value in the same calendar year. No shows and cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will not be issued a credit or allowed to reschedule. All sales are final.
  • Is there somewhere to keep my stuff while I’m on the water?
Yes, you may leave your belongings for safe keeping in the office. We require one person to have a cell phone in a dry bag if you are renting from us. A phone is not required for classes.
  • Do I have to have a life vest?
Yes, we provide the life vests (PFD) with all rentals and classes. Anyone age 12 and under (by Law) MUST wear a life vest (PFD) at all times. We encourage everyone to wear their life vest at all times, however, it must always be on your board or kayak if you are over the age of 13.
  • Can my children paddle?
Yes! SUP and Kayaking are great for children. Children under age 16 must be accompanied on the water with a parent or guardian unless they are attending one of our classes. All children 12 and under MUST wear a life vest. We encourage parents to wear their life vest around their children.
